PANAR Integral Farm Inauguration

Panar 2010-2011

PANAR (Fundacion Programada de Ayuda al Niño de Alto Riesgo) is een non-profit organisatie opgericht op 9 maart 1991 te Cali, Colombia om kinderen die in moeilijke omstandigheden verkeren te redden en te beschermen. De doelgroep is, kinderen jonger dan 18 die onder de armoede grens leven en die door verschillende sociale en familiare omstandigheden in nood of verwaarlozing verkeren.

PANAR heeft een eigen huis met grond er op heen, waar op dit moment 30 kinderen met warmte worden omringt en de kwaliteit van hun leven wordt verhoogd. Daarnaast krijgen de kinderen voedsel, medische zorg, beurzen voor de voltooiing van hun basis onderwijs, recreatieve bezigheden, psychologische ondersteuning en workshops voor de ontwikkeling van capaciteiten die nodig kunnen zijn voor hun arbeidsparticipatie en zelfstandigheid in de toekomst.

Colombia Activa werkt in Nederland samen met andere organisaties die kunnen bijdragen aan de missie van de stichting. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn Shell en Technische Universiteit Delft. Mede dankzij hun economische ondersteuning zijn projecten van twee Colombiaanse stichtingen in samenwerking met Colombia Activa gerealiseerd . Book "Letras del Sur"

The book "Letras del Sur" made by Bella Flor Foundation continues receiving positive remarks and comments by the press and public.

This time the book has been awarded for its Graphic Design (Best Edition) in the Colombian design contest "Lapiz de Acero"

This book is the result of the creativity of the Foundation kinds, and the contribution of donors, including Stichting Colombia Activa

Reconocidos ilustradores se reúnen en este trabajo que se convierte en el resultado de una serie de talleres que una fundación venía desarrollando con niños en la localidad 19 de Ciudad Bolívar en Bogotá. El libro está enfocado a un público adulto y su objetivo además de obtener recursos para la fundación, es demostrar las cualidades narrativas y visuales que se encuentran en los contenidos e ilustraciones que hacen de esta publicación una propuesta equilibrada y entretenida.

Christmas Dinner 2009

Dear friends,

We had a dinner with friends, volunteers, and donors last December. Here some pictures. Certainly, a nice moment to talk about what stichting CA did during the 2009: the conclusion of the projects with FUNDEA and BELA FLOR, the Sol and Cine Filmfestival at Lumen Filmhuis-Delft, and of course, the projects for the 2010. We would like to thank everybody who gave a little of their time, or more, to this foundation the last 12 months.

We are fewer than previous years, many of our members who were grad-students have moved or started new phases in their lives, and consequently, they are not longer fully active in our foundation. However, they had left an excellent work and a lot of motivation for new and old members and volunteers. In 2010, we are sure we will continue helping vulnerable communities/groups in Colombia. In this moment we are looking for one or two productive and sustainable projects that we can help with advising and founds.

You are always welcome to contact us, either because you know a possible foundation or project that needs our help, or because you want to be part of CA as member or volunteer.

CA wish you an excellent 2010, full of health, love and peace.

They made it!

This time we're writing about something very special.
After a whole year of work, 18 children of Fundacion Bella Flor have finally made it! Their book is being published and it will be launched at the Bogota book fair (see the official invitation) !!! It's a invaluable achievement for these kids, for Bella Flor and for us all. We would love to be there to share this moment with all of them. Well done!

Fundea Project

Recently we have received pictures of the FUNDEA project implementation. In them, FUNDEA friends show us how they have used YOUR HELP (through Stichting Colombia Activa). The objective of this project is to provide equipment and materials for increasing the number of adolescent mothers that receive instruction as fine-chocolatiers. The final aim is to provide this vulnerable group, with high rate of scholar desertion, with knowledge and experience in their way to be economically-independents.
